Trend Alert: Lilac Gingham Print

Reese Witherspoon, actress and founder of Draper James, recently appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres Show wearing a gingham print dress (and it’s not her first time!). Take a flip through Witherspoon’s own ‘what she wore’ look book, and it’s easy to see she has a penchant for the picnic-like print. But in this case, the mini checked pattern combined white and a light, lilac (one of the ‘it’ colours of the season) hue for a vibe that seemed oh, so, summery.

So where does gingham stand in terms of fash trends? It ranks right up there with other go-to prints, such as polka dots and leopard spots. And it’s appearing everywhere from the beach with swimwear, to high-tea (a.k.a. champagne brunch) with ladylike (and we’re sure Reese-approved) dresses.
