Best Dressed At The 2017 Met Gala

Last night, the Met Gala was once again held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York City. For 2017, the annual fashion ball featured a theme of Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons, paying tribute to the legendary Japanese designer. Like every year before, the Met Gala was a star-studded affair, with a number of Hollywood beauties lighting up the red carpet. From Emily Ratajkowski to Gisele Bundchen, here are the best dressed celebrities from last night’s gala.

Emily Ratajkowski

The 25-year-old model may be best known for her racy lingerie shoots, but Ratajkowski was a beautiful sight at the Met Gala in a shimmering Marc Jacobs gown. With its thick straps and floor-length skirt, the iridescent number was a change from Ratajkowski’s usual barely there ensembles. The sparkling sequins and shades of blue and green illuminated her olive complexion, while her matching hoop earrings were the perfect accessory to complete her look.

Emma Roberts

Emma Roberts took the expression “red carpet glamour” quite literally, as she stepped out in a bright crimson creation by Diane von Furstenberg. The figure-flattering gown featured delicate spaghetti straps, touches of lace and a flowing train. Much like her Scream Queens character Chanel Oberlin, the 26-year-old star also chose to accessorize in pink, with the addition of a rose-coloured fur stole.

Emmy Rossum

Recognized for her classic style, the 30-year-old actress looked radiant in a black and white Carolina Herrera outfit. The straight-legged pants and strapless white top were paired with an elaborate white bow, which brought a dramatic touch to the Shameless star’s look of the night.

Blake Lively

The 29-year-old blond bombshell arrived in an extravagant metallic gold gown, which featured long sleeves, a deep V-neckline and a peacock-like feathered hemline. Lively’s Atelier Versace number flattered her curves and created an hourglass silhouette, while the embellishment on her dress was a luminous effect.

Gisele Bundchen

Although many Tinseltown belles turned to over-the-top accents for the big night, Gisele Bundchen was simply radiant in Stella McCartney. The silvery, skintight frock was detailed with long sleeves, side cut-outs and a vampy low back. The 36-year-old supermodel added a gold box clutch to her look, and proved that mismatched metallics can be truly elegant.
