Yesterday, the annual Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards were held in New York City. Along with honouring the best in American design talent, the CFDA Fashion Awards also featured a number of well-dressed stars on the red carpet.
Staying true to the elegant theme of the evening, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley made a splash in a shimmering, beaded creation by Michael Kors. The 29-year-old English model looked gorgeous in the iridescent ivory gown, which featured dainty straps, a flowing hemline and a V-neckline. Huntington-Whiteley accessorized her floor-length number with shoulder-dusting earrings for a flawless finish.
Meanwhile, Jamie Chung stepped out in a burst of colour which was certainly red carpet-appropriate. The 33-year-old actress wore a crimson-coloured Banana Republic halter number which was accented with hot pink detail. The dress was complete with a deep neckline, contrasting collar and thigh-high slit.
Brunette bombshell Emily Ratajkowski perfectly captured the 1990s inspired slip dress trend in a custom designed Jason Wu frock. The strappy black dress made a statement with its plunging neckline, floor-length hemline and tiered ruffles. For a finishing touch, the 25-year-old model and actress styled her look with dangling diamond earrings and an oxblood-hued box clutch.
Actress Alicia Silverstone also caused a sensation in a vampy scarlet frock, which brought her Clueless character Cher Horowitz to mind. The 39-year-old blonde looked radiant in the Christian Siriano creation, which was accented with a sweetheart neckline and dramatic flowing train.
