Best Dressed Stars At The 2016 Oscars
Last night at the 88th Academy Awards, the red carpets revealed a stunning display of Hollywood beauties dressed in their finest to mark the evening. From Naomi Watts to Margot Robbie, here’s a look at the most beautifully attired stars at the 2016 Oscars.
The 47-year-old British actress looked eternally youthful and chic in a strapless Armani Privé gown, which featured a mermaid inspired silhouette and intricate sequin detail. Meanwhile, the combination of deep violet and navy blue shades highlighted her porcelain complexion and icy blonde locks. For a finishing touch, Watts completed her red carpet sartorial statement with an elaborate diamond necklace by Bulgari and a basic black Bulgari box clutch.
For her Oscars look, the 40-year-old South African beauty quite literally took her sartorial cues from the red carpet. Theron stunned in a brilliant red Dior number which made a statement with its plunging low neckline, strappy shoulders and trailing hem. She accessorized the sexy yet exquisite gown with a long Harry Winston necklace and dainty diamond earrings.
The 46-year-old Australian actress was a sensation in a pale blue Armani Privé creation which dazzled with its floral accents and twinkling crystal embellishment. With its floor-length hem, V-neckline and off-the-shoulder design, the dress accentuated her slim and toned figure.
Not only did Larson win Best Actress for her role as Ma in Room, the 26-year-old actress also looked every bit the Academy Award winner in a vivid blue Gucci creation. The delicate spaghetti straps, V-neckline and ruffled detail completed the look, while the waist-cinching embellished detail brought a sparkling touch.
Perhaps staying true to the aesthetic of the golden Oscar statue, the 25-year-old Aussie bombshell was perfectly dressed for the evening in gold. Robbie was striking in a metallic golden Tom Ford gown, which featured a deep neckline. Meanwhile, the long sleeves and ruched detail around the midsection brought a modest and glamorous feel to her look. For a contrasting effect against the snakeskin, a black clutch with long fringed detail wrapped up her accessorizing statement.
