Netflix To Back Bradley Cooper’s Next Film

Oscar nominated actor, writer, producer and director Bradley Cooper’s next film is set to be backed by Netflix, after Paramount backed out. The drama will follow the life story of legendary conductor Leonard Bernstein, the genius behind the Oscar-winning film West Side Story. The film will be produced by Martin Scorsese, Steven Spielberg, Emma Tillinger Koskoff, Todd Phillips and Kristie Macosko Krieger.

The Oscars this year may not have much in the way of surprises when it comes to acting awards. Debbie Harry And Jesse Malin Cover The Pogues ‘Fairytale of New York’

Over the weekend in New York there was a concert celebrating the 40th anniversary of The Clash’s London Calling. Throughout the evening several artists, including Debbie Harry, Eugene Hutz, Jesse Malin and Fred Armisen, took the stage to show their support of the Joe Strummer Foundation. Strummer was of course being the co-founder of The Clash, who passed away 17 years ago at the age of 50. At one point during the concert Debbie Harry and Jesse Malin took to the stage to cover the classic Pogues hit “Fairytale of New York”.
