Watch Elizabeth Banks, Ian Somerhalder, Nikki Reed And More Sing In Support Of Hillary Clinton
Donald Trump might have 80’s stars Scott Baio and Antonio Sabato Jr. on his side, but Hillary Clinton seems to have celebrities from all decades supporting her. And Clinton’s supporters are doing more than just speaking at conventions, they decided to record a music video to help her cause.
Yesterday during the second night of the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, a video was played to introduce Hillary Clinton. It wasn’t just any video however, it was a Pitch Perfect style a cappella video starring dozens of celebrities singing Rachel Platten’s “Fight Song”. The video was c0-produced by actress and Pitch Perfect 2 director Elizabeth Banks, who introduced the video by saying “This is for Hillary.” Other stars in the video include Mandy Moore, Eva Longoria, Aisha Tyler, Jaime King, Jane Fonda, Connie Britton, Kristin Chenoweth, America Ferrera, Idina Menzel, Ian Somerhalder, Nikki Reed, Julie Bowen and Jesse Tyler Ferguson. Other stars from the Pitch Perfect movie series were also in the video.
After the video ended, Clinton appeared on the screen to thank her supporters. “I am so happy for this great day and tonight,” she said. “What an incredible honor you have given me and I cannot believe we just put the biggest crack in that glass ceiling yet. Thanks to you and everyone who has fought so hard to make this possible. This is really your victory. This is really your night. And, if there are any little girls out there who stayed up late to watch, let me just say: I may become the first woman president, but one of you is next.”
