Orphan Black & Enemy Top Nominees For 2014 Canadian Screen Awards


With award season well under way, it’s only fitting that we celebrate Canada’s brightest stars. The nominees for the 2014 Canadian Screen Awards were announced today and Orphan Black and Jake Gyllenhaal’s movie Enemy topped the list of nominees.

Real Style was on hand to hear Viking actress Katheryn Winnick and Cracked star David Sutcliffe announce the Canadian Screen Awards nominees this morning at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Toronto.

After her appearance at the Golden Globes last night, Tatiana Maslany’s Orphan Black ruled the television nominations with 14 nods. The other shows that had many nominations included Less Than Kind, Rookie Blue, Call Me Fitz, Flashpoint, Seed and Vikings.

In the film categories it was Enemy from Montreal director Denis Villeneuve starring Jake Gyllenhaal with 10 nominations that topped the list. Other top nominees included French films Tom A La Ferme, Gabrielle, The Mortal Instruments: City Of Bones, Empire Of Dirt and The F Word.
