Ashton Kutcher Replaces Charlie Sheen On Two And A Half Men
The wait is over, Charlie Sheen has officially been replaced on Two and a Half Men. There has been speculation on who would be his replacement ever since he was fired from the hit show, and everyone from John Stamos to Rob Lowe have been named. Earlier this week is was reported that Hugh Grant was close to signing. Neither of those men took the role however, and yesterday rumors started to swirl that Punk’d star Ashton Kutcher was close to signing.
Deadline.com reports that the deal is now done. Ashton even tweeted to his followers “What’s the square root of 625?” to reveal his signing. (For the record it’s 25, which can be interpreted as 2.5).
The question now becomes will Ashton be able to revitalize the show. He does have a following (6.7 million Twitter followers is pretty impressive), and he does have a history on television as well. Two and a Half Men will be his first TV show since Punk’d ended in 2009. Ashton also has a great reputations of being professional as well, which is important after the Charlie Sheen debacle. It should be an interesting new season.
