AFI Names Their Top Ten Movies Of 2010

Inception_posterUsually an indication of which movies will get nominations for the Oscars, the American Film Institute named their top 10 movies of 2010. The one thing to be aware of in this list is that the movies are in no particular order. They are just a list, and are all given equal status. Also, the movies must be American so The King’s Speech, which is a big Oscar contender, is ineligible because it is a British movie.

And the movies are:  Black Swan, The Fighter, Inception, The Kids Are All Right, 127 Hours, The Social Network, The Town, Toy Story 3, True Grit, and Winter’s Bone.

Of these movies, Toy Story 3 probably won’t receive a best picture nomination. It’ll probably be in the best animated film category though. The others all stand a good chance of being there on statue night.
