Star Wars TV Series and Anchorman Sequel Have Been Shelved Due To Price
Star Wars fans who have been patiently waiting for the long promised Star Wars television series are going to have to wait a little longer. The announcement came at a recent screening of The Empire Strikes Back in Chicago. George Lucas told Wenn.com that “the live action TV show is kind of on hold because we have scripts, but we don’t know how to do them. They literally are Star Wars, only we’re going to have to try to do them (at) a tenth (of) the cost. And it’s a huge challenge, (a) lot bigger than what we thought it was gonna be.”
Also on hold is the long awaited sequel to the 2004 movie Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy. The star of the movie Will Ferrell is trying to get the fans to rally behind him and the project to get it moving once again. Unfortunately financial issues have plagued the movie, and Paramount seems unwilling to put anything behind it.
