There is no denying it, Game of Thrones is an epic series. The battle for the control of the mythical land of Westeros was a show that everyone knew something about, even if they had never watched a single episode. Although Alanis has released two albums before it, she was still a relative newcomer because before Jagged Little Pill her music was only played in Canada. You expect the Superbowl to be full of can’t-miss commercials. Doctor Sleep Fails To Connect With Audiences

Warner Bros.’ was hoping for a hit with their latest adaptation of a Stephen King novel, but Doctor Sleep failed to perform this weekend, earning well under projections. It didn’t even take the top spot at the box office, losing that to the lesser known film Midway. It’s now being said that the film could lose upwards of $30 million dollars, which is a shame considering the film is actually pretty good. So what ended up causing the film to bomb? Well there are several reasons, but one of the biggest is that the film really had trouble connecting with its audience.

Ellen DeGeneres To Be Awarded Lifetime Achievement Golden Globe

61 year-old comedian and daytime talk show host Ellen DeGeneres is going to receive the lifetime achievement award at the Golden Globes in January. The award, named after comedian Carol Burnett, is in recognition of her 25-year career on U.S. television. Degeneres will be the second recipient of the award, which was handed out earlier this year to Burnett herself.
