1) Add crimps to your straight locks: If your straight strands are lacking a bit of style and volume, add some tight crimps to your tresses for a quick and easy do that will freshen up your everyday style. Simply put your hair in medium-sized braids, making sure to braid your hair from the roots to the end. Once you’ve braided all of your strands, grab one braid at a time and gently squeeze the braid in between the flat iron, working in small sections starting from the top and slowly making your way to the ends. Make sure to hold the iron for at least 15 seconds before moving on to the next section. Repeat this process for all of your braids and once you’re done, remove the braids and finger comb your hair by running your hands through the strands once. Then, to keep the crimps intact, apply a palm full of moose to keep your waves looking soft.

2) Create natural beach waves: For beauty addicts looking to create simple, loose curls, try this simple trick with a flat iron to perfect those effortless beach waves. Start by grabbing a small section of hair from your crown and putting it in the flat iron. Then feed the next section in an “s” curve formation and clamp down on the hair to create those lustrous bends. Repeat the same process until you’ve reached the ends of your hair and spray each section with a light layer of holding spray to hold the curls throughout the day. This will give your dull tresses a stylish flow without needing to spend a lot of time on it.

3) Give your flyaways a curled flare: Flyaways are almost inevitable especially during the cooler months with all the static and frizz your hair is exposed to. To keep those stubborn flyaways in place, simply curl the ends of your hair with a flat iron to give your tresses some style.  Grab a small section of hair at the front and clamp the straightener just below mid-length of the section, holding it almost parallel to the hair. Then begin twisting your wrist away from your face until your hair wraps around the iron. To complete the curl, slowly glide the iron, making sure to keep the hair wrapped around the iron, and slide the iron down until it has reached the ends of your hair. The result will give you an effortless blowout with big and soft waves that you can rock both to the office and for a casual day out.
