With the fierce winds and falling snow promising an entire season of bad hair days ahead, it’s easy to let your luxurious locks turn brittle as we settle into wintry weather. If you want to maintain your silky strands despite the dropping temperatures, these leave-in conditioners just may help you revitalize your tresses.
1) Briogeo Rosarco Milk Reparative Leave-In Conditioning Spray, $25: As a conditioning spray, this Briogeo buy claims to keep the hair’s moisture levels under control and to protect the tresses from heat. The product is formulated with rosehip oil, which is said to hydrate and to guard the locks from both UV and free radical damage. It also claims to condition the hair with argan oil, lock in moisture with coconut oil and offer nutrients with the Vitamin E in its formula.
2) Living Proof No Frizz Leave-In Conditioner, $30: For those struggling with frizzy locks, Living Proof’s leave-in conditioner claims to block humidity and shield the hair with the use of anti-frizz technology. The product is created with PolyfluoroEster, an ingredient which claims to provide a humidity barrier and reduce friction on the surface of your locks. As well, hydrating proteins in the formula are said to moisturize dry strands.
3) Drybar Mr. Incredible- The Ultimate Leave-In Conditioner, $33: This new product by Drybar is formulated with acai, a tiny antioxidant-rich South American berry which is said to moisturize the hair. The leave-in conditioner also contains coconut milk (which claims to detangle the locks) and the ingredient biotin (which is said to lead to strong, healthy strands). Mr. Incredible states that it will prevent breakage and encourage shiny hair, and claims to offer notes of ginger, mint, and sandalwood for a scent.
4) Philip B Lovin’ Leave-In Conditioner, $35: As a conditioning crème, this product from Philip B is made with soy and wheat proteins and amino acids. The crème claims to rejuvenate the hair from the roots to the ends, and to correct dry and brittle strands. The henna in the formula is said to encourage shiny locks, while the combination of chamomile, nettle and aloe claims to moisturize.
5) Sachajuan Leave-In Conditioner, $45: This leave-in conditioner from Swedish professional hair care line Sachajuan states that it offers a light formula which will encourage soft, weightless tresses. The product is made with signature Ocean Silk Technology, and is meant to be sprayed on washed and towel-dried locks.
