Twilight fans are going to be lining up in the UK to get a hold of Robert Pattinson’s underwear. Marks & Spencer’s is releasing a line of underwear inspired by Twilight’s Robert Pattinson in September. The R-Pant underwear line will be on sale for Twilight obsessed fans for 12 pounds for a two pack of the undies. The underwear is made to suit slim fitting pants and comes in a number of different cuts.
Art periodical Visionaire is releasing an issue dedicated to Alexander McQueen’s work with a special twist. The magazine will be printing the Alexander McQueen special of the magazine on paper embedded with wildflower seeds. Once you are done reading the magazine, you can plant it in your garden. The fashion designer had reportedly wanted to work with Visionaire magazine before his death, but it never came to fruitition. This is a beautiful tribute for them to put in place instead.
It was only a few months ago that the pair made fashion news headlines when a rumour arose that they had wed in a secret ceremony, but fashion designer Marc Jacobs and his ‘husband’ Lorenzo Martone have split up. While there have been rumours for some time, Lorenzo Martone confirmed on Twitter that he and Marc Jacobs have been split up for some time now. The pair have been seen together at events, but Lorenzo said that he and the fashion designer have actually been split for 2 months now.

Fashion designer Stella McCartney has designed a line of glow-in-the-dark clothing for her fall collaboration with Adidas. At first the idea sounds wild, but the collection could be a lifesaver for night time runners who want to stay safe. The Stella McCartney Adidas line includes a glow-in-the-dark jacket and running shoes which are available now for around $200.00.
We have talked before about the dangers of buying counterfeit merchandise. Tonight 20/20 is airing a television special about the plethora of websites selling fake Christian Louboutin shoes. Louboutins can cost thousands of dollars, but you can find millions of fake sites selling what they claim to be real Louboutins for a few hundred. The 20/20 special will show you just how good these knock-off Louboutins are and why they aren’t worth the cost.
A private memorial in honour of fashion designer Alexander McQueen has been announced. A special service will take place at St. Paul’s Cathedral in London during London Fashion Week to celebrate McQueen’s life and contributions to fashion. The memorial will be attended by friends and family.

Shoe designer Nicholas Kirkwood has announced a collaboration with Peter Pilotto. The shoe designer has been creating shoes for the Pilotto runways shows for two seasons and now they will team up for a collaborative project. Nicholas Kirkwood has become known for working with some of the top up and coming designers. His shoes have been seen on the runways of Erdem and Rodarte in past seasons. The new Kicholas Kirkwood and Pilotto footwear collaboration will make it’s debut at the Pilotto fashion show at London Fashion Week in September. The two new styles will be available in stores in the spring.
Khloe Kardashian is being accused of being photoshopped for an ad for their new swimwear line Beach Bunny. Khloe Kardashian is the youngest of the three Kardashian sisters, but also the tallest at 5′ 10″. In the new ad, Khloe, Kourtney and Kim Kardashian all stand at almost the exact same height. Some fashion news outlets are calling the ad trickery for shrinking down Khloe Kardashian.
Fashion news media are shocked that two Alexander McQueen dresses failed to sell at auction this week. The two dresses from the 2007 “Salem Witch” collection were the first Alexander McQueen’s to go up for auction since his tragic death. The dresses were worth approximately $20,000 each, but did not sell from the Bonham’s auction house. No one has commented on the auction as of yet to say why the dresses didn’t go.
Megan Fox is turning heads for her fashion choices today. Last night Megan Fox wore a red Armani Prive dress at the premiere of her new movie Jonah Hex. Megan Fox’s red dress was very low-cut showing off a lot of skin. The Giorgio Armani Prive mini cocktail dress had bold shoulders and a front rose applique. While she has a great figure, some are saying it was too much skin for the newly engaged actress.
Gucci is considering suing Cadbury over the new commercial for their Cadbury Flake. Gucci claims that the new Cabury Flake commercial is eerily similar to the images used in the 2006 Alexander McQueen runway show. The creator of the Cadbury commercial is actually the same person who worked with Alexander McQueen on the hologram back in 2006. No official lawsuit has been announced yet.
This weekend during the Burberry menswear fashion show, the fashion brand will launch a new section of their label. Burberry Acoustic is a new branch of Burberry that will work with new, upcoming artists chosen by Burberry’s designer Christopher Bailey. They are hoping to put together acoustic sessions with UK acts for their website to be streamed for the world.
Last night, America’s top fashion designers gathered to honour the best in fashion at the Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards ceremony in New York City. Celebrities and fashion designers were out in full force at the event to give tribute to the best of the best in fashion design.
Marc Jacobs took home the biggest prize of the night, Womenswear Designer Of The Year. The other top fashion design winners were Rag & Bone as Menswear Designer Of The Year and Alexis Bittar for Accessories Designer Of The Year.
The Swarovski Awards at the CFDA Awards Show honour America’s up and coming fashion designers. Hot new designer Jason Wu won the Swarovski Award for womenswear, Richard Chai for menswear and Alexander Wang for accessories.
Other winners included Burberry’s Christopher Bailey being given the International Award, Iman received the Fashion Icon Award, Ralph Lauren won the Popular Vote Award, and the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award was given to Michael Kors.
The red carpet fashion was, as expected, fabulous. Sarah Jessica Parker, who was there to honour her friend the late fashion designer Alexander McQueen, wore a long pink gown chosen by his successor at the Alexander McQueen brand, Sarah Burton. Almost every fashion news outlet put Gwyneth Paltrow on their best dressed list for her sparkling black Michael Kors dress. Iman looked stunning to receive her award in a custom Giambattista Valli strapless gown. Other notable red carpet fashions included Gossip Girl’s Michelle Trachtenberg in a strapless blue Rebecca Taylor gown, Jessica Biel in a printed Diane von Furstenberg dress and supermodel Lara Stone in a strapless Calvin Klein dress.

Coach is suing the entire city of Chicago. The fashion brand is suing Chicago for allowing counterfeit Coach handbags to be sold there. Fashion news sources report that Coach claims over 300 vendors sell fake Coach handbags at the Chicago New Maxwell Street Market. Coach wants $2 million per violation and the city to be forced to stop the sales. (Reuters)
Tennis star Venus Williams made fashion news headlines this week when she stepped onto the court in a lace negligee to play a match. Venus Williams’ black and lace short dress caught the attention of everyone. According to news, the lace industry is now hoping Venus Williams will inspire more women to add some lace to their wardrobes. This week in fashion news Jean Paul Gaultier, Alexander McQueen brand and Giles Deacon are the headliners. Many big name fashion brands and fashion designers are changing their positions and these new partnerships could mean some exciting futures for fashion in the coming seasons.
The big fashion news is that Jean Paul Gaultier announced his departure from Hermes. Jean Paul Gaultier will stay on a Hermes until after the Spring 2011 Paris fashion show, but will then move on to focus on his own lines. Paris designer and Lacoste creative director Lamaire will take over for Jean Paul Gaultier at Hermes
The Alexander McQueen label has appointed Sara Burton the new creative director for the brand. This is the first step in moving forward after Alexander McQueen’s tragic death. Sara Burton has been with Alexander McQueen since 1996 according to fashion news. She was the fashion designer’s first assistant and head of womens wear, so she is already a good fit for the brand and understands McQueen’s vision.
We already told you about the announcement that Giles Deacon would be joining Ungaro as their new creative director. Giles Deacon is not the only new face at Ungaro. The fashion designer has called in stylist Katie Grand to consult on the new Ungaro line. Fashion news sources report that his muse for the Ungaro collection will be french Vogue editor Carine Roitfeld.
In today’s fashion and entertainment news, Cannes Films Festival 2010 comes to an end . Which means an end to all of the red carpet celebrity style looks we have been seeing. This year in Cannes, the celebrity style and the major fashion show that film festivals have become, was pretty breathtaking. The biggest fashion news from the red carpet at Cannes was the debut of Gucci Premiere gowns. We told you here how Salma Hayek wore the first custom gown on the red carpet from the new Gucci line. This couture fashion line has become a celebrity favourite after only days in the fashion world. Kate Beckinsale also got a chance to wear a Gucci Premiere gown at Cannes. Her off white and silver off the shoulder gown (pictured) was softly draped and featured sequin embelishments . Naomi Watts also wore a pink strapless gown from Gucci Premiere.
Eva Longoria Parker also sparkled at Cannes. In the above photo she wore a short sequined Elie Saab one shoulder gown to an after party for Robin Hood.
Robin Hood’s star Cate Blanchett got a lot of attention during Cannes for her celebrity style. We loved her Armani Prive skirt suit at the red carpet premiere here. She also wore this voluminous Alexander McQueen gown that had all fashion writers in love.
Never one to shy away from fashion, Naomi Campbell hit the Cannes red carpet showing off her celebrity style in a sheer black gown from Givenchy.
