At Real Style Network beauty blog, we are always on the hunt for the best products of the season in our beauty find category. One sniff of the new Dove go fresh Revive bath & body products and we were sold. This sweet smelling line of bath products is our favourite new way to brighten the summer.
We have tried and reviewed, some of the other Dove go fresh products, so we hoped this new scent would be just as good. The new Dove scent that we are so in love with is the sweet mix of pomegranate and lemon verbena. The smell is light and fruity. It makes you feel like summer just by smelling it. It is the new summer scent for at least one person around the office.
The Dove body line comes in a body wash, shampoo, conditioner, anti-perspirant and body mist. The products all work as you would expect from Dove. The bath products are very moisturizing and creamy. The shampoo and conditioner are damage repairing, which is a bonus for those of us who are addicted to the flat iron. The new Dove body wash with their NutriumMoisture is so thick and creamy you feel like you are washing with body lotion, not wash. We could definitely feel the results of the intense moisturizing on even the driest spots.
The scent isn’t actually all that strong in most of the bath products. It’s a shame because we would have loved for the whole house to smell like this. If you fall in love with the smell like we did, it’s the body mist that you want. It leaves the scent lingering on you in just the right intensity.
Dove go fresh Revival products are available in drugstores now for $3.99-$6.99.

Are you sick of medicating just to calm down at the end of a hard day? A study out of Germany says next time you can try skipping the Valium and instead head for the natural smell of jasmine.
The study found that the smell of jasmine can act as a replacement for drugs like Valium to help act as a sleeping pill or mood enhancer. The scent of jasmine can help your health by being soothing, calming instead of medicating yourself.
Doctors suggest keeping a jasmine plant in your home at all times to keep the scent lingering for those times when you need to be calm. They do say though that in a large room, one plant may not be enough.
We at Real Style Network’s beauty blog thought of a bunch of ways to get some extra jasmine to relieve the pressure like jasmine scented candles, air fresheners or incense that is available pretty much everywhere. Get a scented body lotion or perfume for a spritz on the go. Of course, our favourite way to infuse some jasmine into our beauty routine is to soak in a long bath with jasmine bubble bath and a good book. Who wouldn’t feel relaxed after that?

Bath and body store Lush is one of the most-popular eco-friendly beauty stores out there. Those who shop at Lush know they are helping the environment. Now Lush is working with the Rainforest Action Network to raise money and awareness with a new bath bomb.
All sales from the new Lush Wild Rose Country Bath Bomb will go to the Rainforest Action Network to support their Tar Sands campaign. Lush wants to raise awareness to shut down the Alberta tar sands because of the destruction they are causing on the environment. According to Lush, the tar sands pollute the land, water and air of Canada. They want people to lobby the government to shut down the tar sands and move to more environmentally friendly energy sources.
The new bath bomb contains bergamot oil and rose absolute to soothe dry skin. Doing good for the environment soothes your mind. A great combination.

Its that time of year when body butters are used almost daily to moisturize and pamper dry, winter-weary skin. We at Real Style Network thought we would share our favourite body butters for those of you that love to indulge in bath & body products.
The Body Shop is legendary for their body butters and the selection is quite large. They offer body butters in three skin types; normal, normal to dry and dry to very dry. Our favourites in each category include:
Pink Grapefruit for Normal Skin – This one is fresh, tart and perfect for a morning pick-me-up! It moisturizes well and leaves your skin fragranced with the light scent of grapefruit. For those of you that love grapefruit scents, this one is a no brainer.
Wild Cherry for Normal to Dry Skin – The newest body butter is Wild Cherry. It’s rich and decadent! Great absorption into skin and the wild cherry seed oil helps moisturize patchy dry skin.
Cocoa Butter for Dry to Very Dry Skin – This one is a classic! Cocoa Butter Body Butter is great for everyday use and softens and smoothes rough, dry skin. It smells tropical and light and is great for those of you that love the smells of cocoa butter and vanilla.
Fruits & Passion is a great option for those of you that seek unique bath & body care options. Our favourite body butter is the Fruity Quenching Butter for the Body. It’s enriched with shea butter and will leave your skin soft and scented with a distinct fruity/floral fragrance.
Sephora is also known for their large range of body butters. The Sephora branded body butters are rich and surprisingly strong. They also contain shea butter and beeswax to help moisturize and protect skin. Our favourites include Apple Pomegranate Body Butter, Riviera Blue Body Butter and Vanilla Cupcake Body Butter (we love this scent!).

Name: Philosophy Party Girl Set
General Comments: I have purchased Philosophy lotions before and after seeing this new trio of products displayed at Sephora, I decided to pick the set up.
Party Girl is a cleansing set that comes with three products, Bling Tini, Tan Tini and Tini Tini String Bikini. What’s nice is that these are multi-purpose cleansers and can be used as a shower gel, bubble bath liquid and shampoo.
I must say I really liked the set. I worried it might be too fruity smelling, but it’s not. You’re left feeling fresh and clean with a delicate scent. The lather is nice and quite light. I think these would make a great gift or as a way to treat yourself! My favourite way to use the products are as shower gel, but again, the products can be used in more than one way, which is great for me and my wallet!
Approx Price: $30.00
Where to Get It: Sephora

Name: Skin So Soft Satin Glow Ultimate Body Moisturizing Lotion SPF 15
General Comments: This moisturizer was recommended to me by a friend who loves Avon bath and body products.
Last summer I was a big fan of the Jergens Natural Glow Moisturizers and used them to give myself a little colour. They are low-key and low-maintenance, so it worked well for me.
My overall feeling about this product is positive. It is very light and absorbs into skin quickly. It added a light shimmer to my skin (not a lot of colour). For me, it was lighter and sheerer than Jergens, but still gave me a healthy glow (I am quite fair).
Approx Price: $9.99
Where to Get It: Avon.com and Avon.ca.
