Today in beauty news, Avon has announced the release of a new premium hair care line for its customers.
Avon will be relaunching their Advance Techniques hair care line in a whole new fashion. The first product to be released under the Advance Techniques line will be the new Advance Techniques Frizz Control Lotus Shield hair care products. Avon told WWD the new hair care line will repel moisture from your hair and stops frizz for up to 3 days. The Frizz Control hair care line will be available from Avon this summer.
This is only the first of six different types of hair care products that will be released under the Adance Techniques line. Other hair care products will target things like shine, volume, colour protection and damage repair.
While the Advance Techniques line is considered an Avon premium product, the cost is still pretty low. Lotus Sheild will sell at Avon for $12.00.

Real Style Network told you earlier this year that Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas would be releasing a fragrance later this year. While the Fergie fragrance won’t be out until September, her ads hit beauty news sites today.
Everyone is talking about the new ads for Fergie’s Outspoken fragrance. For the fragrance ads Fergie got edgy in leather and lace posing with a bullhorn to complete the Outspoken idea. Fergie described her new fragrance by saying, “Outspoken definitely turns heads, but it also lets your true personality shine through.”
Outspoken will be available through Avon in September for $28.00.

In case you missed this bit of beauty news, Avon is collaborating with fashion brand Hervé Léger to create 2 new affordable fragrances.
Avon will release Hervé Léger Femme and Hervé Léger Homme fragrances this fall. The women’s scent is said to be woody floral with hints of grapefruit, orange flower and vanilla mixed in. While Hervé Léger Homme, the men’s fragrance, smells of ginger, yuzu and amber.
The best part about these new Hervé Léger fragrances is their affordable Avon prices. This fall you will be able to get the women’s perfume for $34 and the men’s fragrance for $30 from Avon.
This isn’t Avon’s first move into celebrity and fashion designer collaborations. They also sell fragrances from fashion houses Ungaro and Christian Lacroix and actress Reese Witherspoon.

Twilight fever is already heating up a month before the movie hits theatres and beauty brand Mark has joined in. Avon’s beauty brand Mark hired Twilight star Ashley Greene to be the face of the makeup company.
Since her breakout as the lovable Alice Cullen in Twilight, Ashley Greene has made a name for herself in the entertainment, fashion and beauty world. Ashley Greene always appears on the red carpet in an outfit to talk about. Avon said they chose Ashley Greene as the face of their new campaign because of her natural beauty and because she isn’t afraid to mix things up.
Ashley Greene said she was drawn to Mark because of their empowering message to young women.
Ashley Greene will be replacing Lauren Conrad as the face of Mark in their new beauty campaign next year.

The Rio – Carlos Falchi makeup includes everything a girl could need for a natural beauty look this summer. Actress Reese Witherspoon has been everywhere lately promoting her new fragrance, In Bloom for Avon.
“The fragrance is sensual, romantic, and alluring,” said Witherspoon. “It is truly indicative of where I am in my life today – I’m feeling very strong and independent, and so happy.”
Reese also told People Magazine, “I just wanted a scent memory of my childhood in Tennessee growing up,” she says. ”A lot of it is white flowers and gardenias and things that I grew up in the backyard loving. Things that I smelled on my mother and my grandmother that really inspired a feeling of being back home.”

In today’s beauty news, Variety is reporting that Hugh Jackman will star in a new comedy called “Avon Man”.
In the movie, High will play a down on his luck man who takes a job as an Avon salesman. After some ups and downs, he becomes a top seller and attempts to recruit his other laid-off buddies into the business in order to win a regional makeup-selling contest. Funny and smart, this sounds like a perfect film for Hugh Jackman!

In today’s beauty news, Avon has announced it will introduce a new fragrance titled “In Bloom” this fall. The scent is developed in partnership with actress Reese Witherspoon, their current spokesperson. With a lot of buzz already generated, its expected to be a big hit with consumers.
The fragrance is a floral with Georgia peach tea leaves and crisp greens, as well as gardenia, magnolias and night-blooming jasmine. ”In Bloom is indicative of where I am in my life today. I’m feeling very strong and independent, and so happy,” she says.
The new fragrance will not be available until November of this year. The product line includes eau de parfum, body mist, body lotion and shower gel. The line will be affordable with prices ranging from $15 – $55.
