It may have taken a long time, but CoverGirl has finally listened to the demand of their customers and created new concealer shades of makeup for women with darker skin tones.
The CoverGirl Queen Collection concealer is made up of a line of yellow based darker concealers for ladies who need a darker shade of makeup to match their skin tone. The makeup comes in four dark shades an espresso, caramel, honey and bronze tones.
This is just the latest addition to the Natural Hue makeup line that includes darker shades of foundation and powder.
With concealer being such a common makeup product, we are surprised it took them this long to get one on the shelves. We are sure women are going to be snatching it up quickly.
You’ll be able to find the CoverGirl Queen Collection Natural Hue makeup in stores this month.

Eos lip balm is a favourite of many of our readers, so we wanted to try out this beauty product for ourselves to see if it really was the amazing beauty find we heard it was.
At first look the Eos Lip Balm Smooth Sphere is possibly the cutest little beauty product we’ve ever seen. The little round case is unique and unexpected. Your friends are going to ask you what it is and if they can try it once they see you pull this little lip balm out of your purse.
The second unexpected part of the Eos Lip Balm is the smell. We tried out the new Lemon Drop SPF 15 lip balm and it smelled like dessert. Every time we put it to our lips we thought of lemon meringue pie. Delicious!
It smelled so good, we almost forgot about all of the great aspects of it. The EOS Lip Balm is 100% natural and 95% organic. The added SPF 15 to the lemon drop is perfect for the summer when you sometimes forget to protect your lips.
This is one beauty find that we at Real Style Network are glad we found.

We have all seen those girls who have plucked and tweezed and waxed for so long that now their beauty routine begins with drawing on their eyebrows each day. Beauty company It Cosmetics has revealed their new makeup product that will help you get your eyebrows back.
The new Brow Power Universal Eyebrow Pencil might look like your average makeup pencil, but this beauty product contains a formula that is said to help your eyebrows grow back. So, unlike other makeup pencils it will stimulate hair growth. This means during your regular makeup routine, you will actually be helping yourself. For $24, you have to admit it’s worth a try to see if it could help.
According to reviews, the eyebrow pencil is easy to use to get whatever look you want while you wait for your eyebrows to grow back. The reviews also said that it is also smudge proof and waterproof, so you don’t have to worry about your eyebrows melting in the heat.
We also liked for every pencil sold, It Cosmetics is donating one to a charity to help women dealing with cancer that have lost their hair.

After a short bout of beauty news controversy, MAC Cosmetics has decided to donate a portion of the proceeds from their new makeup collection to Juarez, Mexico charities.
Fashion line Rodarte and MAC Cosmetics teamed up for a new fall makeup line based on the traditions and culture of Mexico. The idea was a little controversial to begin with, but as it went with the fall Rodarte fashion collection, the troubles from beauty critics were minimal.
When the names of the MAC Rodarte nail polish line were released some beauty critics were shocked. They felt the names Juarez and Factory were “tasteless.” Juarez is a factory town in Mexico known for the murder and disappearance of a number of women.
When the makeup company realized the beauty controvery, they acted immediately with a press release saying: We understand that product names in the M.A.C. Rodarte collection have offended some of our consumers and fans. This was never our intent and we are very sorry. We are listening carefully to the comments posted and are grateful to those of you who have brought your concerns to the forefront of our attention. M.A.C. will give a portion of the proceeds from the M.A.C. Rodarte collection to help those in need in Juarez. We are diligently investigating the best way to do this. Please be assured that we will keep you posted on the details regarding our efforts.
We are proud of MAC Cosmetics for stepping up when they saw the beauty news and taking responsibilty for their makeup line.

Estee Lauder has released the first images of their upcoming fall makeup collection exciting many beauty lovers.
The Estee Lauder Blue Dahlia Pure Color Collection makeup line actually debuted on the Derek Lam runway, but now you can see all of the shades wonderfully laid out. The makeup line is composed of green, blue and purple. All of the eye shadows shades are quiet vibrant and intense making for an amazing night time look if you aren’t afraid of colour.
The lip stick and lip gloss colours are softer pinks and nudes to accompany the bold eye shadow, but not compete with it.
Nail polish comes in two similar colours of a dark blue and icy purple.
We hope these colours are a smash this fall, because the looks on the Estee Lauder website are pretty great. Our imagination is already running to what we could do ourselves.

The summer is all about playing in the sun and surf. The universal problem with that is keeping your makeup perfect during a day of water and sweating. Waterproof makeup is crucial for any girl’s beauty buys, espiecially eye makeup. The worst case scenario is meeting that hunky lifeguard with mascara running down your face. Real Style Network’s beauty blog wants to save you the embarrassment by sharing our favourite summer waterproof makeup. Here are our eye makeup buys including waterproof mascara, eye liner and even eye shadow.

Summer waterproof makeup shopping guide:
1. DiorShow Mascara is the best you can get. For the summer it doesn’t get any better than DiorShow Waterproof Mascara ($24.00). This is a beach bunny beauty must have!
2. Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner ($20.00) is a top buy at most beauty stores because it work perfect and is easier to use than most liquid eye liners.

4. Honestly, part of us thinking waterproof eye shadow is unecessary, but these Smashbox Untamed Waterproof Shadow Liner Trio ($21.75) colours are perfect for the summer. The cool shades will allow you to get touchups on the go.
5. This Urban Decay Big Fatty Waterproof Mascara ($20.00) will give you big luscious lashes that last all day long.
6. In the well-known pink comtainer the Maybelline Great Lash Waterproof Mascara ($4.99) is probably one of the most tested and best loved waterproof mascaras on the market. Every girl has owned it and knows it works.
7. CoverGirl makeup always performs. The CoverGirl LashBlast Waterproof Mascara ($6.38) is an affordable makeup choice for your summer beauty.
8. For a two in one waterproof makeup product, this Tarte emphasEYES Waterproof Clay Shadow ($22.00) can act as an eye shadow or liner. In three colours, including this fun Indigo, this product is a one stop beauty product.

It’s not Halloween yet, but Essie Cosmetics is adding a beauty product to their nail polish line that will get you in touch with your dark side all year round. Essie Cosmetics has created a new line of nail polish inspired by the dark and haunting beauty of Morticia Addams of The Addams Family.
This seems completely out of season for the bright makeup colours of summer, but Essie collaborated with The Actors Fund to create the line of three new dark and gothic nail polishes. The Morticia’s Nails nail polish set includes a blood red, bone white and deep navy nail polish shades.
The nail polish set will go on sale in beauty stores next week for $30. The proceeds will go to support The Actor’s Fund performing arts.
While The Addams Family are a cult hit nowadays, we figure the Twihards are going to be the ones who really love these dark nail polish colours. It works right into vampire craze. For the rest of us the colours may be just a little too dark to our day to day beauty look. At least we can be ready for Halloween.

We know there are a lot of lip gloss addicts out there in beauty land who can not resist trying every delicious flavour of lip gloss they can get their hands on. Long time beauty favourite Lip Smackers have come up with yet another flavour of lip gloss you wouldn’t have thought of, but now need to try. Lip Smackers and Vitamin Water have teamed up for the new Vitamin Schticks lip gloss.
The Vitamin Schtick lip gloss come in the same flavours as the healthy drink, including Multi V, XXX and Focus. While we here at Real Style Beauty haven’t tried them out yet, we assume the taste is pretty close.
Bonne Bell beauty also tried to mimic the drink by ensuring the lip gloss was good for you too. The lip gloss contains vitamin E and sunscreen to protect your precious lips.
Knowing the amount of promotion Vitamin Water does we will probably see the girls on Gossip Girl puckering up with this new lip gloss soon. Like most Lip Smackers lip glosses you can get the Vitamin Schticks for as low as $3.00 in the beauty department of local stores.

Now not only can your go into Sephora to buy makeup or order it online, starting tonight one of the exclusive Sephora makeup lines is going to be brought into your home via television. Sephora and QVC have partnered up to launch the Tarina Tarantino Beauty line on the shopping channel tonight.
Tarina Tarantino is a hot accessories designer who launched her first makeup line exclusively with Sephora back in March. Now even if you can’t get to a Sephora you can get the makeup line at home. QVC and Sephora hope bringing the creator of the beauty line to people on television will give an added boost to what you currently get in stores and online.
The Tarina Tarantino makeup line is super cute with all of the little pink packaging and feminine colours, but there is still something to be said about being able to try on the makeup colours before you buy. A lot of makeup has been really successful on the shopping channel though, so maybe we are just being old fashioned.
Tune into QVC tonight at 7 p.m. EST to catch Tarina Tarantino showing you her makeup line personally.

If you are always on the lookout for the latest in limited edition makeup collaborations, MAC Cosmetics has teamed up with a designer from the Alice + Olivia fashion design brand for a new makeup line.
Fashion designer Stacey Bendet of Alice + Olivia worked with MAC Cosmetics to create the new ten piece makeup collection for beauty lovers. The makeup is available in stores wherever MAC makeup is sold near you right now.
The designer, whose clothes are a celebrity favourite, said she based the makeup colours on candy meaning these are bright summer makeup colours. They do follow the purple and blue trends we have been seeing in other makeup line though.
The makeup line contains three new pigments in purple, turquoise and shimmering white, three lip cremes in bright pink, pale pink and yellow (yes yellow lip creme), and three nail polish colours of charcoal, purple and turquoise.
Since Alice + Olivia is so wildly popular with celebrities, you should expect to see them adding these new makeup colours to their beauty routine soon.

A new beauty fad has taken hold in the US all thanks to Lady Gaga’s outrageous look. Of all the things young girls have latched onto from Lady Gaga’s many many looks, it’s her eyes they want most. Girl have been ordering contacts online to get the wide eyed look of Lady Gaga from the Bad Romance video. The problem is that getting this look can be dangerous.
A beauty story in the New York Times revealed that to get this look girls have been ordering contraband circle lenses from Asia. These contact lenses, that come in a variety of shades, cover your iris and part of the white of your eye making it look bigger. The circle lenses started in Asia where girls wanted to get the look of Anime characters, but Lady Gaga’s beauty has brought it here.
The problem with the contact lenses is that by buying them online from another country there is no guarantee the contact lenses are safe. You have to be wary of putting anything in your eye even if it is the latest beauty craze.
Don’t injure yourself for Lady Gaga’s crazy beauty. Especially to get a look that is obviously computer generated. If you wouldn’t wear a hat made of hair or a telephone on your head, why would you stick something in your eyes without being sure it is safe?

If you are looking for a shocking new hair and makeup look for the summer, maybe you can take some tips from the looks shown on the runway for the Christian Dior haute couture fashion show this afternoon in Paris.
For the wild fashion show, John Galliano’s Dior models were styled up as flowers ready to bloom. The runway hair was sculpted to the tops of their heads with little petals pointing out the tops. Just be prepared with a lot of hairspray (and probably some serious extensions) if you want this look at home.
Like the hair, the makeup on the Christian Dior runway was bold, and bright. Models wore vivid eye shadow in bright colours including red, purple and orange. The shadow was boxed and swooped far off the eye. The models had thick long black eyelashes giving their eyes an added pop. Lipstick was generally very very dark red, that looked almost black and brown shades.
Ok, so maybe this isn’t a look you can wear on a regular basis without getting looks, but it sure is amazing to imagine. For more on the fashion from the Christian Dior show and more from haute couture week, check out our fashion shows section.

Style icon Daphne Guinness will be starring in her first beauty campaign as the new face of Nars.
It should come as no surprise that Daphne Guiness has chosen Nars as the company for her first ever ad campaign. Creator of Nars, Fracois Nars used Daphne as his muse for the fall makeup collection. Francis Nars called her a “dream” as a muse because of her love of the makeup process and transforming herself.
As you can see from the first ad the new Nars collection will include purple and yellow eye shadows, soft pink blush and bold red lipstick.
The new makeup collection will debut on the Nars website on July 15th and will be in stores in August.
