 DESIGNER SPOTLIGHT
DI CARLO COUTURE
Montreal-based eveningwear designer Antoinette Di
Carlo has been known in Canada for some time, having presented at Toronto Women’s Fashion Week
in the past. However, her label Di Carlo Couture has been gaining international fame lately, especially after the designer attired Toronto fashion stylist Jessica Mulroney for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding this spring. Mulroney, who is a close friend of Markle’s, famously wore a cap-sleeved royal
blue dress with a pleated midi hem. Aside from her evening wear line and creating custom frocks for the Royal Wedding, Di Carlo also has a bridal line and has dressed Canadian TV personalities like Cheryl Hickey for the red carpet. With its long, sheer hemlines, luxurious lace and demure pastel shades, the Canadian couture label offers an elegant alternative to the daring and baring looks that have been stealing the catwalk this season. Looking for something ultra feminine? Try a Di Carlo gown on for size. You’ll be happy you did.
