Winter parks plan<\/a><\/strong>. The plan highlights new and enhanced exercise-based recreation activities in parks locations across Toronto. See below for info the city shared.<\/p>\n<p>Residents are encouraged to stay active this winter with members of their household at:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>23&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.toronto.ca\/explore-enjoy\/recreation\/skating-winter-sports\/tobogganing\/\">toboggan hills<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;in neighbourhoods across Toronto<\/li>\n<li>8 snow loops for walking and snowshoeing at the City\u2019s five golf courses, with loops ranging from 1 kilometre to 2.5 kilometres<\/li>\n<li>Free, leisure skating at the City\u2019s&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.toronto.ca\/data\/parks\/prd\/facilities\/outdoor-rinks\/index.html\">54 outdoor ice rinks<\/a>,<\/strong> including Nathan Phillips Square, beginning November 28, weather dependent, with a maximum of 25 participants<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.toronto.ca\/data\/parks\/prd\/facilities\/disk-golf-course\/index.html\">Six disc-golf locations<\/a><\/strong>, including the newest at Scarlett Woods Golf Course, beginning November 28<\/li>\n<li>New guided outdoor&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.toronto.ca\/explore-enjoy\/recreation\/recreation-reservations\/\">Walk Fit programs<\/a>, including 45 sessions each week<\/li>\n<li>High Park car-free weekends<\/li>\n<li>City parks with additional 60 kilometres of paved recreational trails and pathways with snow maintenance<\/li>\n<li>100 parks with winter maintenance, including 60 with enhanced maintenance this year including cleared parking lots and paved pathways<\/li>\n<li>Up to 30-plus natural ice rinks \u2013 the City is accepting applications until December 31 for community-built and maintained natural ice rinks in City parks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Throughout the winter the following parks amenities will remain open:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>More than 800&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.toronto.ca\/data\/parks\/prd\/facilities\/playgrounds\/index.html\">playgrounds<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;and 30 parks with outdoor fitness equipment<\/li>\n<li>Outdoor sport courts, including 57 tennis courts with nets in place for winter tennis<\/li>\n<li>70 outdoor table tennis and 60 chess tables<\/li>\n<li>68 dog off-leash areas<\/li>\n<li>The City will more than double its supply of winter park washrooms from 64 to 143 as part of its ongoing response to COVID-19<\/li>\n<li>The&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.toronto.ca\/data\/parks\/prd\/facilities\/complex\/1061\/index.html\">archery range<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;in E.T. Seton Park<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This winter will indeed be a different one, but there\u2019s no reason people can\u2019t get out and enjoy it with members of their household.
