Former first lady Michelle Obama premiered her new Spotify podcast today, and on it she interviewed her husband, former president Barack Obama. <\/p>\n

The Obama’s conversations covers their love and their life after leaving the White House, which is a great way to kick off a series devoted to covering relationships that shape people. In her introduction of the series Obama said \u201cthe main truth of my story isn\u2019t anything I did as First Lady, but the lifelong experiences that I shared with the people I loved, the conversations that guide me whenever I come to a fork in the road. Because really that\u2019s how we find our truth, isn\u2019t it? By leaning on those around us.\u201d<\/p>\n

Before bringing out her husband, Obama continued on saying \u201cToday, we\u2019re gonna start by discussing one of those relationships that can take some time to figure out. That\u2019s our relationship to our communities and to our country. Sometimes this relationship might be a source of fulfillment or meaning or joy. Other times it might provoke questions that we don\u2019t quite know the answer to. What we\u2019re really talking about is our place in this world. How we feel about it and what we can do with the power we have. I asked a special someone to join me for this conversation because he\u2019s navigated these questions throughout the course of his entire life.\u201d<\/p>\n

Obama’s idea for the show is to have natural conversations with people that \u201csparks ideas and topics\u201d for listeners.
