With a number of food festivals happening across the city this month, it\u2019s the perfect time to take your taste buds on a culinary adventure. Whether you want to spend the long weekend seeing the best food Ontario has to offer or dig into a rack of ribs, there\u2019s a festival which just might satisfy your unique cravings. Here is a list of all the food festivals happening in May.<\/p>\n

Veggielicious \u2013 On now until May 21<\/strong><\/p>\n

This plant-based festival is the herbivores answer to Summerlicious and Winterlicious. Presented by the Toronto Vegetarian Association, Veggielicious is Canada\u2019s largest celebration of meatless cuisine. Similar to Summerlicious and Winterlicious, the festival features fixed price menus are various restaurants across the city. Some popular locations that are participating in the festival include Eva\u2019s Original Chimney\u2019s and Rawlicious.<\/p>\n

Sample the 6ix \u2013 A Food Passport \u2013 On now until June 1st<\/sup> <\/strong><\/p>\n

As a food festival which benefits charity, Sample the 6ix seems to combine philanthropy with cuisine. This food passport includes deals to local restaurants and breweries, which include buy one get one off promotions, brewery tours and free items with purchase. The proceeds from the passport sales go to Easter Seals Ontario, which works to help children and young adults with physical disabilities. <\/p>\n

Culinary Ontario Festival \u2013 May 19-22<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hosted at Ontario Place, the Culinary Ontario Festival is a four-day event that showcases the province\u2019s diverse culinary culture. Attendees can indulge in all sorts of food and drink that Ontario has to offer. This long weekend event is also in celebration of Ontario\u2019s 150th<\/sup> anniversary, and will feature other events that involve music, culture and art.<\/p>\n

Rib and Craft Beer Fest at YDS – May 18-21<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you’re craving a classic plate of ribs and are thirsty for some craft beer, this festival may be perfect for you. Some of the best rib teams in Canada will showcase their recipes along with craft beer vendors. This \u2018backyard\u2019 barbeque is the perfect way to kick off the long weekend and the upcoming grilling season.
