Just in time for mid-winter, Bloor Yorkville Icefest returns to Toronto this weekend for another year. The event will run from 12 noon to 8 p.m. on Saturday, and 12 noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>This time, the annual free ice extravaganza in the city\u2019s Yorkville neighbourbood also honours Canada\u2019s 150<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary. As part of the festivities, Icefest is slated to include ice sculptures, an ice carving competition and an Icefest Lounge. The event claims to involve 20,000 pounds of ice, which will then be crafted into Canadian inspired creations. Meanwhile those with a sweet tooth can stop by for a taste of maple syrup taffy.
