The exploration of landscape is certainly nothing new to the art world. Yet Contemporary Calgary\u2019s Performing the Landscape <\/em>reinterprets the classic subject by focusing on contemporary works that include elements of performance and movement, be it through theatre, video or music.<\/p>\n

Mystical landscapes: Masterpieces from Monet, Van Gogh and more<\/u><\/em> at the AGO, Toronto,\u00a0October 22nd \u2013 January 29th, 2017<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Rarely has a Canadian art exhibition achieved the level of anticipation that has met the announcement of the AGO\u2019s up-and-coming exhibit Mystical landscapes. <\/em>In a partnership between the AGO and the Mus\u00e9e d\u2019Orsay in Paris, the AGO will become home to some of the most iconic paintings of nature \u2013 at least for a short while. Highlights of the exhibit include Claude Monet\u2019s Water Lilies<\/em> (1907) and Vincent van Gogh\u2019s The Starry Night over the Rhone at Arles <\/em>(1888).<\/p>\n
