Although the musical first made an appearance at Toronto\u2019s Soulpepper Theatre, it is now slated to show in Charlottetown. The story involves poetry from dead residents of the town of Spoon River, recited on stage in a mysterious and passionate manner.<\/p>\n

Enjoy tunes at the Cavendish Beach Music Festival from July 8-10: <\/strong>The annual event takes place on a former cow pasture, and claims to be Atlantic Canada\u2019s largest multi-day music festival. This year, the festivities on Cavendish Beach include performances from country music stars Blake Shelton and Kenny Chesney. Sibling act The Band Perry (which includes Kimberly, Reid and Neil Perry) are also slated to make an appearance.<\/p>\n

Tuck into seafood at the Summerside Lobster Festival from July 18-24<\/strong>: Naturally, your summer vacation on the island wouldn\u2019t be complete without tempting fresh lobster. The Summerside Lobster Festival features an opening day parade, a boat tour, a midway and the TRILOBSTER Triathlon championship race on July 27. Visitors can chug beer from Upstreet Craft Brewing, enjoy a traditional lobster dinner or participate in the Summerside Recreational Volleyball Tournament.<\/p>\n
