Num\u00e9ro Couture <\/em><\/strong>by Karl Lagerfeld and Babeth Dijan, Steidl: <\/strong>Although he is best known as the creative director of Chanel, Fendi and his own label, Karl Lagerfeld can also be spotted behind the camera lens as a fashion photographer. For the past 15 years, the 82-year-old German designer has shot haute couture photography for French fashion magazine Num\u00e9ro<\/em>. From spunky British bombshell Cara Delevingne to Canadian-born supermodel Linda Evangelista, the designer has photographed countless beauties over the years. This recently released book of photos came out on March 22, and features Lagerfeld\u2019s most elaborate couture images for the publication.<\/p>\n Isaac Mizrahi<\/em><\/strong> by Chee Pearlman, Ulrich Lehmann, Kelly Taxter and Lynn Yaeger, Jewish Museum: <\/strong>The 54-year-old New York City-born designer launched the first collection for his eponymous label in 1986. Since then, Mizrahi has become known for his affordable designs and his approach to modern couture looks. This latest illustrated tome (which was released on March 29) explores Mizrahi\u2019s insights into religion, race and politics, through fashion. It also takes a look at the American designer\u2019s other creative work in the film, theatre and television industries.<\/p>\n
