If you’re planning a wedding and want cool trendy flowers, don’t even think of using red roses. The latest trend, according to a plethora of Canadian florists’ websites and Pinterest, is greenery and in-season blooms. Instead of cutting the leaves off of flowers florists are leaving them on and adding even more into wedding arrangements and bouquets. If you need any further proof of this leafy green trend, just scroll through Jeff Leatham’s Instagram page. Leatham, celebrity florist and Artistic Director at the Four Seasons George V in Paris, truly knows everything there is to know about floral arrangements, arches, walls, and chandeliers. His feed is full of magnificent Tuscan aisles made of yellow and white tulips, urns the size of ponies over flowing with purple moon flowers, and most prominently large bunches of greenery.

Along with leafy green ascents, flowers in butter yellow and apricot orange are becoming exceedingly popular. The softer shades of these sunshine colors make for whimsical bouquets that can’t help but make you smile. The pastel arrangements are often comprised of peonies, Juliet roses, carnations, leafy greens, and Icelandic poppies. If you’re looking to get your hands on some of these drool worthy bouquets and floral arrangements for a wedding of your own check out our list of Canada’s trendiest florists in Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, Winnipeg, and more.
