Watch Sherlock Holmes: A New Theatrical Adventure At The Ed Mirvish Theatre In Toronto
Starting October 27th and continuing until November 8th, you can catch Sherlock Holmes: A New Theatrical Adventure on stage at the Ed Mirvish Theatre in Toronto. The award winning production stars David Arquette in the lead role in a script by Greg Kramer.
This travelling production (it heads to Washington and Chicago after its run in Toronto) features a new tale created in the style of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s classic stories. It takes place later on in Sherlock’s career, after Jack the Ripper has made his mark on the streets of London. It follows Holmes as he tries to solve a mysterious case that involves a drowned body and a missing person. It takes him through the opium dens, the docklands and London’s backstreets during the turn of the century. Don’t expect to be fully meshed in Victorian London however, as the play also manages to give several nods to the modern style known as Steampunk.
The play first premiered in Montreal in 2013, and has won five Montreal English Theatre Awards, including Outstanding Production and Outstanding Director.
The play runs from October 27th – November 8th, on Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Tickets are available on Mirvish.com. The game’s afoot!
