If you are looking for a taste of Italy with a genuine Italian ambiance, you’ll want to check out La Vecchia, a couple of blocks north of Eglinton on Yonge. Our recommendation, ask for the seafood risotto.
Sushi Rock is at the corner of Yonge and Broadway Avenue, just north of Eglinton, and it offers a wide array of sushi, soups and salads. It’s a great option for a quick lunch, or even ordering for an eat-in office meeting. They will deliver to you for a small fee, or you can pick it up yourself.
Another fairly new addition to the neighbourhood is Korean Cowboy, which is an interesting mix of southern cooking with a southeast Asian flare. Another good Italian restaurant in the area is Grazie Ristorante, which has been a fixture for 25 years. It’s focus is southern Italian cuisine, complete with fresh to order sauce and homemade pizza dough. If you haven’t heard of the Thai food chain Spring Rolls, we’d be surprised. There are locations all around the city, and in Midtown it is located on Eglinton, just east of Yonge. It’s the prefect place for casual gatherings, with reasonably priced food and drinks. The menu is fairly large, and you are bound to find exactly the type of Thai food you are looking for.
Our final dining destination is The Keg.
