5 Books Being Turned Into Must-See Films in 2015
Hollywood is always looking to the literary world for inspiration for their latest films, so it goes to figure if they have decided to adapt a book into a movie that it must be a pretty decent book. We take a look at 5 of these books that are due to hit the big screen in 2015.
Fifty Shades Of Grey: How far will they go in adapting this erotic best seller about college student Anastasia and billionaire Christian Grey has yet to be seen, but it wasone of the most talked about adaptations even before anyone had been cast. It’s sure to be a hit, well at least among the younger generation who have read the book, but it could be a fad that disappears as quickly as it arrived.
Serena: Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence team up once again in the adaptation of this novel by Ron Rash. It follows the story of newlyweds who move from Boston to North Carolina to start a timber business. Unfortunately after discovering that she can’t bear children, Serena plots to kill her husband’s illegitimate kid.
Paper Town: The Fault In Our Stars was one of last year’s pleasant surprises, and this year author’s John Green’s novel Paper Town is coming to a theater near you. Nat Wolff and Cara Delevingne star in this story about childhood friends reunited by a mystery.
Child 44: If the true story about a disgraced former policeman in the former Soviet Union getting entangled in the search for a child killer doesn’t grab your attention, then the cast will. Tom Hardy, Noomi Rapace and Gary Oldman bring this novel to the big screen in April.
Black Mass: Johnny Depp has a lot of people rooting for him, hoping that he manages to turn his career around, and this true story film about an Irish mobster and his FBI friend may just be it. He’s surrounded by a great cast, including Joel Edgerton, Benedict Cumberbatch and Kevin Bacon, although that didn’t really help him in Mortdecai.
