Consumed, David Cronenberg

Cronenberg’s latest project has been a dream come true. The 71-year-old Canadian filmmaker has just released his crime mystery novel and says it was a long time coming. Consumed follows two young journalists, Naomi and Nathan, who travel to Europe to investigate a truly gruesome crime. As per the title, they become consumed in an R-rated tangled web of their own. Although Consumed marks Cronenberg’s first novel, the storyline still offers fans the Cronenburg-esque themes that we know and love from his previous works.
