Apple Watch: Apple Announces New Wearable Technology
Apple’s first foray into wearable technology brings with it an exciting new tool. The Apple Watch features the versatile Digital Crown, which answers the fundamental challenge of how to magnify content on a small display. According to Apple, with the Digital Crown, scrolling, zooming and navigation are made easy for the Apple Watch. The digital crown allows users to magnify content, scroll and make selections without the screen ever being obstructed.
“Apple Watch is the most personal device we’ve ever created.” said Tim Cook, CEO of Apple Inc of today’s announcement.
With a range of digital watch face options that can be changed at the swipe of a finger, Apple Watch promises to not only be the most customizable technology from Apple, but will also serve up the kind of intuitive daily assistance we’ve come to expect from the tech brand, whether it’s helping you live fit with photosensors that detect your pulse rate, or reminding you of appointments with a taptic engine that lets you feel incoming messages. Each Apple Watch is built from custom alloys of stainless steel, aluminum and 18-karat gold, and will be available with metal, leather and plastic bands.
