Things To Do In Toronto For Canada Day Weekend


July 1st means Canada Day, which also means it’s the perfect time to go out and enjoy time with friends and family!  It’s a day full of fun fireworks, food, festivals and music for all Canadians to gather together and celebrate a beautiful day!  To help you plan, we have a list of some of the best places to be for your Canada Day weekend!

Ashbridges Bay

If you just want to enjoy a simple day at the park and have a picnic, Ashbridges Bay is the place to go!  Located by LakeShore, you can enjoy a nice day in the sun at the park and beach and watch the fireworks when night falls.

Canada’s Wonderland

For some real, thrilling fun, spend the day at Canada’s Wonderland amusement park in Vaughan riding roller coasters and rides, while indulging in all the best in amusement park food.  Stick around for the parade and fireworks that start at 10 pm!

Toronto Ribfest

The one thing better than fireworks is ribs!  The Toronto Ribfest is held at the Centennial Park during the Canada Day weekend from June 27 – July 1.  Enjoy rides, music, fireworks and yes, ribs at this festival!

Black Creek Pioneer Village

For some real traditional Canadian fun and activities, Pioneer Village is a great family fun place to go to for Canada Day!  With a horse-drawn wagon ride and traditional games, take your kids out for a day of fun and some historical lessons!

If you decide to have a real romantic date night on Canada Day, booking a cruise dinner on Mariposa Cruise is definitely the way to go!  You can dine, take in the beauty of the city waterfront and of course, watch fireworks on a boat!
