In the new historical thriller Chappaquiddick<\/em>, leading lady Kate Mara graces the screen as Mary Jo Kopechne, a 28-year-old campaign strategist who was infamously killed in a 1969 car accident. The car was driven by the late U.S. senator Ted Kennedy, depicted in the movie by Jason Clarke. Although Mara\u2019s character is based on a true story and sadly dies after the car plunges into water, we can\u2019t help but sneak a peek at her vintage fashion. Mary Jo\u2019s late \u201860s wardrobe perfectly captures the trends of the decade, as she showcases her low key yet feminine style. Although it may be 2018 now, this printed sleeveless blouse looks just as contemporary today as it does in this film set in the 1960s. Overall, we think that Kate Mara looks effortlessly pretty in her latest role. Staying away from heavy fabrics and favouring delicate shades and ladylike prints, her Chappaquiddick <\/em>retro style is certainly on point.<\/p>\n
