While designer Peter Dundas may have become synonymous with exotic prints at Roberto Cavalli, the Italian label\u2019s creative director has exited the company. According to Women\u2019s Wear Daily<\/em><\/a>, Dundas officially left the fashion house yesterday.<\/p>\n

WWD <\/em>also reports that Roberto Cavalli is making plans to restructure its organization, and is said to be reducing its staff by 30 percent. The brand\u2019s CEO Gian Giacomo Ferraris also gave a statement to WWD<\/em>, which addresses this decision.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter my initial examination of the company I believe the Cavalli brand has what it takes to succeed. But the reality is that the company\u2019s costs must be in line with its revenues and that is the task we now have to embark upon,\u201d Ferrraris said.<\/p>\n

Dundas recently showed his Spring 2017 collection at Milan Fashion Week in September. The designer\u2019s grand finale Roberto Cavalli line featured his signature 1970s inspired aesthetic, bold mixed prints and flowing silhouettes. The Norwegian-born design talent was titled Roberto Cavalli\u2019s creative director in March 2015.
