On Saturday night, the final evening of Fashion Art Toronto 2016 shows came to a dramatic conclusion with an elegant Haute Couture theme. Staying true to the theme, the fifth day of FAT 2016 wrapped up the past week of alternative fashion shows with a dramatic grand finale. From outerwear at Iskon Mode to evening gowns at Marie Copps, here’s a look at what the Fashion Art Toronto runways revealed.

Iskon Mode

The Serbian label was founded in 2009, and has since made a splash in Serbia, Switzerland, Germany and Sweden. Making an entrance in the North American market, Iskon presented a vibrant, watercolour-hued Spring 2016 collection at Fashion Art Toronto. The latest designs were created with natural silk, cotton and linen, and brought the colours of the sun, earth and water to the catwalk. From textured coats in shades of grey to a fringed plaid poncho, layered pieces were a key look. Meanwhile, pink floral accents, brilliant pops of yellow and contrasting detail completed the collection.

Lushyne

Montreal-based designer Lucci Rojas graduated from École des Métiers des Faubourgs de Montréal in 2003, and is a former costume artist for Cirque du Soleil. Rojas launched his line Lushyne in 2011, and focuses on seductive yet avant garde designs. On the runway, Lushyne presented a collection of form-fitting frocks with plunging necklines and shimmering dark metallic designs. From a short fringed skirt to a sleeveless black jumpsuit, subtle sex appeal was certainly in the air.
