As Claire Randall on the Starz period drama series Outlander<\/em>, actress Caitriona Balfe stuns on the small screen in a variety of elaborate looks crafted by costume designer Terry Dresbach. Balfe plays a World War II-era combat nurse, who is taken on a mysterious trip through time and finds herself in Scotland in the year 1743. Claire is now a healer at Castle Leoch, in love with Highland warrior Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) and flawlessly attired for her new life in the 1700s.<\/p>\n

Extravagant furs in \u201cCastle Leoch\u201d: <\/strong>In Episode 2 of the series, Balfe\u2019s character is a stylish sight with a luxurious fur neckpiece which offers a cozy finish to her ensemble. Although this furry accessory may be a suitable statement for this historical drama, it\u2019s surprising how easily her neckpiece can fit into 2016\u2019s fashion trends! We are also liking Claire\u2019s charcoal grey cable knit arm warmers and her sleek dark neutral colour palette.<\/p>\n

A chic buttoned jacket with white fur trim in \u201cThe Gathering\u201d: <\/strong>Claire proves that a lady can look perfectly stylish while horseback riding in Episode 4, as she embraces a dark grey military inspired jacket with gold buttons. Meanwhile, the lavish white fur accents on the sleeves and hood complete her style.<\/p>\n

An intricate green plaid gown in \u201cThe Garrison Commander\u201d: <\/strong>As the show is set in Scotland, plaid prints and verdant shades are basically de rigueur in Claire\u2019s wardrobe. In Episode 6, the dark-haired beauty rocks a ladylike dark green plaid gown which features dainty pleats and a full hem. The three-quarter sleeves and grey shawl wrap up her sartorial statement.<\/p>\n
