With Paris Fashion Week officially drawing to a grand finale today, the Fall 2016 runways in the City of Light have revealed everything from edgy leather to flowing bohemian chic frocks.<\/p>\n

At Louis Vuitton, creative director Nicolas Ghesqui\u00e8re unveiled an avant garde collection on an edgy angular runway which was adorned with shattered mirrors. Ghesqui\u00e8re\u2019s latest designs were inspired by the concept of a digital heroine on a journey, and channelled this idea with funky athleisure pieces. Models strut the catwalk in fitted leather trousers, structured jackets with cut-out midsections, printed dresses with asymmetrical hems and colourblocked frocks in primary hues.<\/p>\n

For Fall 2016, designers Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli embraced ballet and the modern dance movement at Valentino. Their entire collection paid tribute to the mantra of living in the moment, with flowing, sensual looks on the runway. The designs ranged from strappy sequined dresses layered over cozy turtlenecks, to long sheer tutus paired with embellished leggings.<\/p>\n

At Christian Dior, designers Lucie Meier and Serge Ruffieux displayed a youthful, refreshing collection which incorporated classic tailoring and plenty of basic black. The latest looks from Dior featured sleek pencil skirts, fitted jackets and the occasional hint of colour in the form of playful patterned frocks. Floral embellishment, punchy blue and orange patterns and strategically placed ruffles brought new life to the collection.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld returned to simplicity with a minimalistic runway and a series of dainty, pastel pink designs. For fall, the iconic French fashion house stayed true to its reputation for classic femininity. The styles on the catwalk included vivid magenta jackets and skirts, with funky denim and tweed suits offering a cool 1980s inspired touch. Long strands of pearls, eye-catching bold pink hats and head-to-toe ensembles in shades of candy pink proved that ladylike looks are always in fashion.<\/p>\n

At Saint Laurent, creative director Hedi Slimane experimented with bold 1980s silhouettes, which ranged from powerful statement shoulders to voluminous skirts. Models made a splash in tapered trousers paired with oversized jackets and black mini dress with deep V-necklines and structured ruffled detail. The look of exposed legs, short hems and wide waist-cinching belts amped up the sex appeal for Fall 2016.<\/p>\n

Designer Olivier Rousteing also experimented with seductive designs on the Balmain runway. The colour palette on the catwalks featured pale grey, light blue and blush pink ensembles. The chic monochromatic styles included belted tops with stitched detail, furry accents and plenty of suede. Pale pink and blue was a common colour combination, perhaps paying tribute to Pantone Universe\u2019s Serenity and Rose Quartz hues. Meanwhile, thigh-high boots, fringed detail and dainty embroidery brought a sweet finishing touch.<\/p>\n
