While H&M may be best known as a fast fashion retailer, the Swedish brand unveiled a stunning runway show at Paris Fashion Week yesterday.<\/p>\n

For the retailer\u2019s Fall 2016 collection, H&M head of design Ann-Sofie Johansson incorporated elements of Swedish folk attire and traditional embroidery into the pieces.\u00a0 Staying true to its reputation for offering wearable pieces for everyone, H&M also made a social statement with an array of diverse models on the catwalk.<\/p>\n

The show featured the likes of 65-year-old supermodel Pat Cleveland, who first made a splash in the 1970s. Cleveland strut the runway in a pair of voluminous plaid trousers, which was paired with a matching headwrap and a fitted camel jacket.<\/p>\n

\"ANDREJA<\/a><\/p>\n

Keeping the idea of diversity in mind, transgendered model Andreja Pejic made a fierce appearance in similar patterned trousers, a coordinating vest and a long lavender coat. The 24-year-old Australian-born catwalk star was a sensation in the effortlessly chic ensemble.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, 28-year-old plus size model Ashley Graham also joined Cleveland and Pejic on the runway, as she stunned in a flowing navy blue tunic. Graham\u2019s tunic was accessorized with a jaunty fedora, along with a contrasting red snakeskin print belt and brilliant red boots.<\/p>\n

Will H&M\u2019s recent splash in Paris pave the way for increased representation of different groups on the runway? Although it may be too early to predict the future of fashion, it\u2019s clear that a variety of eye-catching looks and uniquely beautiful models completed this show.<\/p>\n
