With her fiery locks and artistic vision, it\u2019s no surprise that Grace Coddington is recognized as an iconic figure at American Vogue<\/em>. \u00a0However, Business of Fashion<\/em> reports that the 74-year-old longtime creative director and stylist has now officially stepped down from her famous gig.<\/p>\n

Coddington, who has held her title at the fashion publication for 28 years, will now be the magazine\u2019s creative director at large instead. According to Business of Fashion<\/a><\/em>, the Welsh-born former model will still maintain an office at Vogue\u2019s New York City headquarters and will be contributing to the magazine with four annual editorial spreads.<\/p>\n

This breaking change marks new territory for Coddington, who has worked alongside Vogue<\/em>\u2019s editor-in-chief Anna Wintour since Wintour assumed her role in 1988.<\/p>\n

As Coddington is no longer a full-time creative director, she is now set to take on other initiatives and commercial work. In fact, the legendary creative talent will be launching a new fragrance with Japanese fashion house Comme des Gar\u00e7ons. She will be now be represented by Great Bowery, an agency which was founded last year by CEO Matthew Moneypenny.<\/p>\n

In an interview with Business of Fashion<\/em>, Coddington described her decision to step away from her role and to join forces with the agency.<\/p>\n

\u201cI suddenly realised that I needed some help from outside,\u201d she said. \u201cI didn\u2019t want to be pigeonholed into just styling a shoot, I wanted to do something beyond.
