Best Dressed At The 2016 Canadian Screen Awards

Last night, the third annual Canadian Screen Awards were held at the Westin Harbour Castle in Toronto. The awards show, which recognizes Canadian talent in cinema and television, also featured some breathtaking sartorial statements on the red carpet from the likes of Tara Spencer-Nairn, Missy Peregrym and Emily VanCamp.

Staying true to Canadian fashion to suit the occasion, Tara Spencer-Nairn channelled her inner fairy tale princess in an intricate creation by Toronto-based designer Narces. The 38-year-old Saving Hope actress looked radiant in the flowing frock, which featured a white crochet lace cropped blouse with dainty capped sleeves. Meanwhile, a voluminous pale pink tulle hem completed the look.

Rookie Blue star Missy Peregrym was nominated for best actress for her role as Andy McNally in the police drama series. On the red carpet, the 33-year-old actress looked subtly sexy in a short black sleeveless dress, which was accented with a V-neckline and a gently flared hemline. For a finishing touch, Peregrym’s long chain necklace and nude platform pumps emphasized her glamorous yet simple ensemble.

The look of classic neutrals certainly reigned supreme, as Revenge star Emily VanCamp also arrived in a white knee-length lace number. The 29-year-old Port Perry, Ontario-born actress looked radiant in the dainty short-sleeved frock, which made a splash with its fringe detail. A pair of white strappy sandals and metallic box clutch wrapped up her chic and timeless sartorial statement.
