Today, October 16, is World Food Day. So it only seems fitting that Michael Kors chose today to release the second edition 100 Series Watch. No ordinary watch, it allows purchasers to help feed mothers and children in need through the United Nations World Food Program. With every individual watch sold, it will help feed 100 children. Last year Michael Kors helped raise enough to provide five million meals to children in need. This year, he hopes to double that number and hit the 10 million mark.
The designer has recruited three supermodels, Chrissy Teigen, Candice Swanepoel and Lily Aldridge, to help promote the Watch Hunger Stop campaign.
The watches are beautifully designed, with impeccable finishes. Available in three colours – rose gold, gold and stainless steal – the watches feature a fitting world map design on the face. They run for $295.00, $25.00 of which is donated to the Food Program.
