With a focus on inspirational messages and sustainability, Rhode Island-based jewelry line Alex and Ani has officially launched in Canada. With two new summer collections (Carnivals and Caravans and Natural Wonders), Real Style is feeling Alex and Ani’s uplifting vibe this season.

In fact, both Alex and Ani collections left us with a dazzling first impression. The Natural Wonders collection glittered with a line of Journey Wrap bangles, in either Russian Silver or Russian Gold. We loved the Emotion bangle ($48) embellished with a rainbow of stones like red jasper, carnelian, tiger eye, rose quartz, green adventurine, howlite, and amethyst. While this bangle is a bit of a statement, we think it’s a vivid accessory for a weekend or night out.

AlexAndAni1-If you’re an accessory fanatic, you’ll treasure their eye-catching Carousel Expandable Wire Bangle ($38) from the Carnivals and Caravans line. The bangle comes in a range of fun colours named after fruit and sweets, from rich green Sour Apple on a gold bangle to feminine Cotton Candy in striking silver.

The brand was launched in 2004 by founder, creative director and CEO Carolyn Rafaelian, who named the brand after her two daughters. She has described spreading her brand to Canada as “synergy” between the two countries.

With all the pieces designed and made in the U.S., it’s no surprise that the eco-conscious brand has a focus on local talent with a timeless twist. This all-American jewelry line is now available at independent boutiques, and at several locations of their Shop Within A Shop at Hudson’s Bay stores in Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver (

With a free-spirited message, bold beads, shimmering crystals, and youthful shades, we’re looking forward to embracing Alex and Ani pieces this summer!
