World MasterCard Toronto Fashion Week Fall 2013 Day Two

David Dixon
It was all about female empowerment and girl power at David Dixon. Power jumpsuits, ultra feminine silhouettes, more capes (a definite trend!) and extremely elegant dresses were seen on the runway. David was all about breaking the glass ceiling and celebrating women through elegant pieces and unapologetically sexy peplum silhouettes in fitted dresses and blouses, which seem to be a constant signature with David’s designs. As always, Dixon gave us everything we wanted in his stunning evening wear portion of the collection. Floor length dresses in off white and black with intricate floral appliqués and chiffon skirts had me dreaming of attending a black tie affair. It was all of the cobalt blue that had me feeling inspired for Fall. It’s not necessary to ditch your blacks and greys but it’s all about balancing them with a bright pop of bold colour to transform your typical drab fall and winter pieces.
