Christian Louboutin Unveils Cinderella Slippers

Christian Louboutin has made every little girl’s dream come true when he unveiled his Cinderella slipper in Paris this week. The designer created the fabulous modern glass slipper in honour of Disney releasing the Diamond Edition for the classic animated film.

For the Cinderella inspired shoes, Louboutin created the lace and Swarovski crystal embellished pumps. The shoes have a sparkling butterfly on the toe and his much debated red soles. They aren’t made of glass like the tale says, but these feminine beauties will suffice. There is no word yet on whether the Cinderella shoes will actually be sold.

If you can’t buy those, maybe you can find a pair of the Cinderella inspired glass slippers designed by Maison Martin Margiela in 2009. They sold for $9,900 per shoe when they were originally released.

This won’t be the last you hear about Cinderella inspired fashion. In November, Harrods will be unveiling their Dinsey Princess inspired Christmas windows. The windows will feature looks from designers including Valentino, Versace and Oscar de la Renta as inspired by the princesses.
