Warm Up With Fall’s Fur Coats
Love it or hate it, fur is one of the single most important trends of the season (don’t blame the messenger). Even if your moral principles stand against the real thing, today faux fur is done exceptionally well so that you do not have to compromise your style principles. And if you’re going for it, go big or go home– this time around, the trend does not tread lightly, fur is over-the-top, large and, in some cases, colourful.
Fendi‘s fur is a dramatic statement certainly not for the faint of heart but is a standout favourite piece among the fashion crowd. Like on the runway, if you choose to indulge in this colourful number, or something similar, keep the rest or your outfit very simple -veering toward prim–in both palette and silhouette.
Despite criticism from animal activists, Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen have always loved and worn fur and this season proves to be no exception. Seen here at the New York Film Festival, the twins chose similar jackets in different colours. Fur as an accent, in this case, on the sleeves, is one of the hottest ways to sport the look.
It seems that Christopher Bailey for Burberry Prorsum can do no wrong, and his hot streak continues with fur coats that are among the most coveted pieces for fall/winter. Again the look continues to make a significant statement with a mix of tone-on-tone textures.
