Slip Into A Stylish Tuxedo This Fall
Ever since Yves Saint Laurent’s Le Smoking, the tuxedo has been a powerful sartorial statement for women looking for something different than the expected evening dress. The sleek silhouette and clean lines of this gender-bending style camouflages imperfections so is flattering to many shapes and is a look that is as fresh today as it was in the 70s.
Dolce & Gabbana trotted out double breasted suits for their masculine-feminine tuxedo in their Fall 2011 show. While we love the tie & oxfords, we suggest ditching and swapping for more feminine accessories. After all, the aim is not to be actually mistaken for one of the boys.
Evan Rachel Wood rocked it in a Dolce & Gabbana suit and we were happy to see her personal feminine addition of Salvatore Ferragamo houndstooth pointy toe kitten heels while at the Venice Film Festival for her film The Ides Of March.
In our opinion, Jason Wu nailed his Fall collection and his version of the tuxedo is one of our favourites. Sleek and refined and no shortage of sex appeal, this suit was definitely made for the ladies.
