Missoni, Emporio Armani & Dolce & Gabbana Show In Milan Fashion Week
Missoni Emporio Armani Dolce & Gabbana
As the fashion elite move to Paris, here is a look at more of the fashion shows that wowed during Milan Fashion Week. Watch as Missoni, Dolce & Gabbana and Emporio Armani’s show their Spring 2012 collection.
Missoni is riding high with the popularity of their line for Target, so expectations were high for Spring. Missoni was inspired by the girl who is full of life and dances the night away. The line had a gypsy feel with lots of layers and colours in the bright wild outfits. The garments had fringe and ruffles and tiers that you can just image shaking on the dance floor. As it is Missoni, there were of course many prints and stripes in the brightly coloured fashion line. See Missoni’s Spring 2012 line here:
There was a definite retro feel to Armani’s Spring 2012 collection. With the models decked out in boater hats, Armani took a chic approach to retro in an mostly black and white collection. From menswear inspired tuxedos to low v neck drop waist dresses, feminine silk dresses, skirt suits and many different styles of jackets. There were faint floral and water colour patterns on the day garments, while the eveningwear sparkled. It was Armani’s own take on the retro French fashion. See the looks here:
Dolce & Gabbana
A lot is riding on Dolce & Gabbana’s main collection with the announcement of the closure of the D&G line. For Spring the duo were inspired by a street festival. They were inspired by the food (tomatoes, peppers and eggplants were printed on the summer dresses and suits). The dresses had the retro style with the full skirt at midi-length. There were also shorter lengths, sheers, cropped tops and high waisted shorts in the food prints. Sheath dresses also came in pastels with floral appliqués. There was sexy sheer eveningwear in the floral print or a see through orange plastic as well as all black shining embellishments on black dresses of all styles.
