Toronto Fashion Week: Vawk Fall 2011
The Vawk show brought out a full house at LG Fashion Week on Thursday night. Everyone was in anticipation for the show to begin, and no one seemed to mind that the show was almost an hour behind schedule.
The Vawk look for fall is sophisticated, classy and extremely feminine. Leather, shearling and fur came down the runway, as well as a leopard print skirt and a trench trimmed in cream leather. Instead of doing the expected, Sunny Fong mixed black and camel pieces with pops of dark teal and maroon in wool trench coats. Maroon coats and capes were accented with fur trim. All wool coats were belted tightly at the waist accentuating the feminine feel to the collection.
Sunny’s choice to include both a mature model and a plus size model on his runway was a smart move, sending the message that this collection can be worn by women of any shape or age.
