FASHION NEWS: Jessica Alba, Victoria’s Secret & More About Kate Middleton’s Wedding Dress
Here are some of the fashion news headlines of the week:
Jessica Alba is the face of the new jewelry collection from Piaget. The pregnant actress has already shot the new ads for Piaget’s Possesion collection. The pictures were created for online campaigns only, so you won’t see them in your fashion magazines any time soon. (Daily Front Row)
Victoria’s Secret is in the spotlight after a news story came out that they destroy returned clothing instead of putting it back on the racks. The news came out after a customer saw a new (unworn) pair of pants cut up after she returned them to get something else. They said it is their policy to cut up many returned items, only the customer shouldn’t have seen it happening. (Tampa Bay Online)
Designer Bruce Oldfield has said he is not the designer behind the much-anticipated royal wedding dress to be revealed tomorrow. The anticipation has been killing the fashion world, as we all need to know who is creating the dress of the decade. Many people have denied designing the dress. Designers who are still speculated to have a hand in Kate Middleton’s wedding dress are: Catherine Walker, Alice Temperley and Daniella Helayel from Issa. Also Vera Wang and Jenny Packham’s names have risen in the debate of the dress. (WWD)
