FASHION SHOWS: Nicole Miller, Rag & Bone, Jason Wu

New York Fashion Week continues this weekend as some of America’s top designers debut their Fall/Winter 2011 collections. Here is a look at more of the top shows from New York:

Nicole Miller

Miller toed the line of creating an almost futuristic looking collection for fall with her straight cut lines and geometric printed garments. Blue, black, grey and white made up all of the colours with hints of metallics and a pop of red for show. As you expect from Miller, the line was made up of day wear and cocktail dresses, but it was the geometric cuts on tops and patterns that will have you talking. The looks included sheath dresses, wide leg pants, vests and long sleeve mini dresses all with the new patterns. Take a look at Nicole Miller’s show here:

Rag & Bone

Rag & Bone continued their streek of urban cool with this fall line that was made for the chilly New York temperatures. Coats of shearling and fur bundled up the models as they wore sweater dresses and knee high boots, plaid pants and skirts, and 70’s style ski suits in bright orange and blue. Winter white made a big appearance on their runway. The outerwear was the star with everything from capes to peacoats to hooded parkas being shown. The traditional plaids were mixed with 70’s style and sportswear themes to give the outfits something unique. See the finale of the Rag & Bone fashion show here:

Jason Wu

One of America’s hottest new designers, Jason Wu, offered up a polished line for Fall drenched in the retro style of designers like Yves Saint Laurent. Chic separates including high waisted trousers, high collar blouses, menswear inspired tuxedos, and retro style dresses with full skirts. The details were crucial with embroidered flowered designing the pieces. Feathered and sequined dresses made up the evening wear including a finale of a long red strapless gown. Jason Wu is continuing the ladylike fashion trends of this fall that everyone has been in love with in his 2011 line. See the full Jason Wu show here:
